ANNOUNCING a new addition to Buck’s Bunch

CLAIRE CATALINA REID

Claire - Brandons' great-granddaughter
Claire – Brandons’ great-granddaughter
born to my first daughter Emily Alicia Reid, her husband Tyler Reid and their 18 month-old son, Gage. Claire made her grand entrance on September 18, 2014 at 12:50am in FRONT of the hospital ER. While Tyler was trying to summons hospital staff for assistance I was privileged to be available to receive my precious little grand-daughter into my own hands as she entered the world.
What a glorious event!!!!!

We are a hearty bunch and apparently quick deliveries must be  genetically transferable 😉 as I had 2 of my own born in the car (one in the midwifery parking lot and one on the side of the highway). So it all felt somewhat familiar to me. Emily and 6lb. 10oz. Baby “CC” are doing very well.
We miss our parents (Brandon and Elizabeth) but we are grateful for our family heritage. I wish I could share these times with them but I look forward to seeing them again someday. They would be proud once again of another great grand-baby. Mama and Daddy loved and enjoyed each and every new addition to the family.
We are abundantly blessed.

Tidbits from the 2014 Family Reunion!

The annual Emerson Family Reunion was held on Sunday, September 21st. We are grateful, as always, to Amy Moore for hosting this yearly get-together.

We were delighted that our eldest Emerson, Nelson (91 years young), was able to attend.

And we rejoiced together when the youngest Emerson, Levi Carlton Emerson (2 1/2 weeks) made an appearance, too!

We enjoyed watching the next youngest, Ezra Poteat, making his “rounds” during the afternoon. And the newest “In-Law” was introduced — Liz Emerson, Craig’s beautiful bride!

It was good to have Mary Thompson (Buck’s daughter) join us from Texas. She shared a beautiful PowerPoint tribute to her parents, Brandon & Elizabeth Emerson.

Children had fun crabbing, canoeing, and playing on the trampoline; while adults spent the afternoon laughing, joking (Yes, Sherwood was there!), and reminiscing. And, of course, there was tons of good food!

Just a reminder to the photographers who were snapping pictures during the afternoon — please send me your digital photos so we can share the goodness with those who weren’t able to attend!

Liz shared her business card, announcing her new Mary Kay business. We Emersons are a naturally beautiful bunch, but if you decide you need a little help, here’s the person to call!
